Promises Promises - Vicky

Promises Promises - Vicky

Vicky has always been creative and has been making things as long as she can remember, she takes a lot of inspiration from her gran who was still taking leather work and water colour classes into her eighties and became a bit of a role model for Vicky.

Vicky studied fashion design in London and went to work for a small British accessory label ‘Emmy London’ for many years after. When she started she was the only member of staff in a small London based studio, when she left she was a member of a growing team of employees, the brand had a boutique in Chelsea and an A-list clientele as well. Helping Emmy’s business grow taught Vicky so much that has stood her in good stead and proved to be invaluable experience.
Vicky started making jewellery at a tough point in her life and she really does believe that Promises Promises helped her through that time. ‘Creating something beautiful with my hands, that other people were also able to connect with was, and still is a magical thing for me’. This realisation is what prompted Vicky to start an evening course in silversmithing and Promises Promises was born.
