Slow Made Goods is born from a love of functional design keeping quality and utility at the core of everything they do. Founded on a belief of a circular economy, meaning resources are kept in use for as long as possible, designing waste out of production methods wherever possible and recycling what little waste is unavoidably created.
Ewan designs and creates a selection of timeless products combining traditional alongside contemporary techniques. He celebrates doing things at the right speed, savouring the hours and minutes spent on the process rather than just counting them. Doing each step as well as possible, instead of as fast as possible.
By choosing to use very high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship, items attain a longer lifespan that harkens back and pays tribute to the crafts golden era of the past. All materials used are locally and sustainably sourced and any packaging is 100% recyclable.
Due to the unique nature of the materials used, each and every item Ewan creates is one-of-a-kind, the natural patterns/designs/flaws of the wood being celebrated and embraced in each piece.
