Beautiful medium sized, reduction fired mug with olive celadon glaze by local ceramicist Nicholas Dover.
Description
This is a handmade, wheel-thrown mug by Nicholas Dover, made from coarse stoneware and finished with an olive green celadon glaze.
The unique colours in the clay and glaze come from the charcoal saggar used during the reduction firing process in the kiln.
It’s fired at cone 8 in a charcoal reduction saggar. Nicholas’s maker’s mark is brushed onto the base in black underglaze.
