Design and build your own lamp. This kit is a perfect gift for those who enjoy a challenge. It's been designed to teach you new skills as well as being a fun activity.
You will need 2-3 days to complete the project as you will need to leave the lamp to dry over night twice. Once for the glue and the second for the hard wax-oil treatment.
The final lamp will be functional, beautiful and made by YOU!
Instructions are included - as is an 'upgrade' to one of my workshops if they want to bring the kit with them to make in my workshop with a small group.
Included:
- 4 layers of pre-cut birch plywood
- 4 wooden dowel pegs
- Hand-turned brass lamp holder (vintage effect)
- x 3 screws
- 2m cable with an in-line switch
- Hole grommet & cord grip
- UK plug
- Back plate and cover
- 4 grades of sandpaper
- Hard wax oil
At home the participant will need:
- Wood glue
- A pair of latex style gloves
- x2 screw drivers (Cross head (Phillips) and a small flat head (blade).
- A rag
Please note - the bulb or shade is not included as every customer will have a different style in mind for their new lamp.
