Hand-thrown in Bristol by Nicholas Dover, these speckled stoneware 'Yunomi' style handless cups are a true joy to behold: fantastically light in the hand, with a turned base and beautiful blue/green 'Grain' glaze.
Description
Nicholas' maker's mark - his signature if you will - is visible on the underside of the mug, whilst the inside has a satin white glaze, and outside in a beautiful blue/green glaze. Where these glazes meet creates a unique, one of a kind, rippled effect like a wave breaking. The speckled stoneware clay underneath interacts with the glaze in an interesting way. Beautiful work, wonderfully executed.
