Beautiful medium sized, slightly rounded mug with handle, finished in a stunning golden 'tea dust' glaze.
Description
This is a handmade, wheel-thrown mug by Bristol based artist Nicholas Dover. Made in a hardwearing speckled stoneware and finished with a golden 'Tea Dust' glaze, this is a lovely sized mug for both tea and coffee drinking.
The Tea Dust glaze that Nicholas uses is a Chinese glaze with gold, yellow and green pyroxene crystals scattered through dark brown glass. Pyroxene is iron oxide reacting with magnesium oxide, is fired at high temperatures and is food safe! Its so beautiful and has fabulous depth.
